Fourth graders worked on a business project. They learned about business related concepts (costs, profits, products, etc.) and created their own companies. They prepared themselves to sell the products during playground times for the school community. It was a great success since sts. sold all the units proposed and obtain a fair profit for each member.

10 MC School volunteers, along with more than 100 other students were present at Rollers on February 24th for the most recent Best Buddies event.
Best Buddies works to promote societal inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities by creating one-to-one friendship opportunities. A variety of media outlets reported on the event and students were featured in newspapers such as "Hoy" for their participation. MONDAY: OPENING CEREMONY
6th - 12th graders started off our patriotic week with poetry, acting, dancing and music. TUESDAY: DOMINICAN GAMES Students learned about and played different typical Dominican games. WEDNESDAY: DOMINICAN FOODS We were able to taste all different Dominican foods during lunch time. THURSDAY: DOMINICAN ARTISANS Different Dominican artisans came to school to share their beautiful items. FRIDAY: OUR COUNTRY IS RHYTHM Kindergarten - 5th grade students performed beautiful songs, dance and poetry about their heritage. This year, students have been learning about bullying and how to prevent it with our "Take a Stand Lend a Hand" campaign. We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying. Kinder - 4th grade created a helping others project, writing messages about how to help others and make the world a better place by creating a chain of positive actions. Middle School students created posters raising awareness about bullying and how to stop it, which were posted throughout the school.
