MCSchool recognizes Preschool students as active participants in the learning process. It offers opportunities to develop their skills and acquire knowledge in an integrated, open, dynamic manner. Preschool students work both individually and in groups. Project Approach is implemented in Nursery, Prekinder and Kindergarten, involving students in the selection and planning of themes to be taught, based on their needs and interests. Arts sensitivity and physical growth are essential to our program. Music, visual, and plastic arts, as well as corporal expression activities are offered to our students. Classrooms are organized in learning centers structured to promote constructive play, allowing children to manipulate resources. Each area contains materials that meet different interests. Students’ whole language development is promoted at MCSchool since to cultivate love for reading and purposeful writing, recognizing inventive spelling as a natural, important part of the writing process. Vocabulary development and verbal expressions are enhanced through learning experiences such as "Show and Tell", Guided Reading and Circle Time activities. The assessment process is a natural element in which a variety of instruments and methods including comments, rubrics and portfolios are utilized. Values are emphasized through the implementation of specific programs and activities. |
